On our reading this morning, they read this statement.

"The kid sits on the hill."
Question: Why did the kid sits on the hill?
Pax: Because he got tired from biking.
Kester: Because he got tired from playing.
Abe: because he got tired from climbing up the hill.

Earlier, I was asking Pax how he got the wound on his elbow. He shared that he was biking on their village when he ran off a hump and fell.

Amazing how he could assimilate his experience to what he read.

It was the 1st day of class today for this school year. I was reviewing my class on their school readiness showing flashcards of assorted pictures. It came to the picture of a soap.

Kester: Sabon
Teacher: What is the English of sabon Kester?
Kester: Safeguard

What a way to start the school year.

It was election day yesterday. I was surprised when one of my summer program preschooler asked me about it this morning.

Jules: Who is your president?
Teacher: I voted for _______. How about you? Which candidate do you want?
Jules: I want Noynoy.
Teacher: Why him?
Jules: Because he has lots of money.

I'm so glad he is not qualified to vote.

Irene, a student from another class sang this song:

I may never march in the infantry
Ride in the infantry
Shoot in the infantry
I may never fly or the infantry
And I am Lord's army
Yes ter

The correct lyrics is:
I may never march in an infantry
Ride on a cavalry
Shoot an artillery
I may never zoom all my enemies
But I'm in the Lord's army
Yes sir!!

Cute.. She was never even out of tune and she's a promising singer at 4 years old.

Luchis lost her front tooth last Saturday. She was covering her mouth when she entered our room yesterday. She doesn't her classmates to see her teeth. She was the assigned prayer leader yesterday, so she prayed with her back on her classmates so they won't see. During snack time, she separated and transferred to our small table and called me. "You know what Teacher, nahulog ako ngipon last Saturday while we were at a wedding in Marco Hotel and Johanne was a ring bearer. My father was looking for my lost tooth but he didn't find it." She was no longer covering her mouth while talking to me. "It's okay that you see my teeth Teacher." Hehe.. Sweet girl. I was teasing her after our conversation, she would put her hand over my mouth so I couldn't utter what I want to say. Such a lovely girl. She's one of my dependable and smart student. I'll surely miss her after our graduation 2 weeks from now.

sounds

Ever noticed that some of the sounds made by animals written on the books were far from reality? Like the rooster, some books write it as Cock-a-doodle-doo. Another is the dogs, is it really Arf-arf?

my preschoolers and politics

I was shocked hear my preschoolers discuss their bets for our country's presidency. Their choices were Villar and Noynoy. They even memorized Villar's jingle. Hehe..

I'm glad they're not qualified to vote yet. Or else their votes would probably based from the media's intensive broadcast and sorts.

100th post!!

What a feat!! I didn't expect or even thought that this would be my 100th post. And its a year already since I put up this blog. Nice!!

Basically, this blog was set up for meager topics and comments for my blogspot or blogger friends who doesn't have name/URL in their comment box. Yet it reached this far. If you've noticed, the posts here were just nonsense. Others were trivial. Yet I'm glad.
